On my commutes to Chicago and back I am always reading or studying something that will enable me to grow and run my business more efficiently. I read the 4 Hour Work Week a couple of months ago and at the time it seemed impossible to have, much less grow, a profitable business working so few hours. It does take a while to figure out and implement the system that will work best for you and your business and give you much of your time back.

I have searched long and have tried many different systems and programs that will free me up and still allow my business to grow and I have finally found one that works. When you recruit a new member on your team, it is vital to be in a position to help them to grow their business quickly and get them making money as soon as possible or they will move on to something else. You must have great products, a great team working with you to help you grow your business and most importantly you must have a system to share with them that will allow their business to grow.

Just wanted to take a few minutes to let you in on the secret of growing your business. For those that have not figured it out yet, traffic is the life line of your online business. I have struggled for months trying to figure out the best stategies for driving traffic and being able to grow my business quickly.

Social media is very powerful, but can seem complicated at first. Fortunately, I have someone in my upline that has learned how to master and grow his downline like crazy just using facebook alone. Another team member is generating 40-50 leads a day using YouTube. If you have not tried any of these avenues yet for generating your own leads you will continue to struggle and your growth will be very slow and painful.

It has taken a long time for me to get on board with the social media revolution, but it is imperative to achieving success online. In my next blog, I will share the system that I have been using to generate fresh leads and grow my business. You must be able to generate your own leads, they must be targeted leads and you need to respond to them in a timely manner. Also, share your leads and help your downline grow their business.  I would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year. I have just finished a meeting with my attorney and my insurance agent today and have a meeting with my financial planner and business partner tomorrow. This is a great time to take a look at where you are in your life financially and make the necessary changes to put you in a better place this time next year.

It baffles me just how many people put more time in planning a vacation or a party than they do their financial well being. It is not complicated, but does require a little time and effort to devise a strategy that will fit into your lifestyle.

There are so many helpful websites available that will give you a good starting point and allow you to see just how much money you should be saving and investing in order to meet your retirement needs. Just google retirement plans or financial planners to get started or use your companies 401k website if you have one. I use JP Morgan and they have a ton of useful information on their site.

A new year is also a great time to start that new business, a business can give you so many benefits and help you acheive finacial independence much faster than just relying on income from your job. Most people continue to live paycheck to paycheck, so there is very seldom if any excess to save or invest.
