It’s 0500am and I am getting ready to start another painful four day trip, my crew scheduling department forgot once again to inform me that my first flight had cancelled already. They do this frequently, this would have meant another three hours of sleep for me, but it is no skin off their back. Just one of the many problems that we face when we work for someone else.
I do not know about you, but having every aspect of my life dictated by a company like AMR Corporation is enough to drive you madd! When I can work, when I can have off, how much money I can make and when I can take a vacation. They have even cancelled some vacations because of poor staffing. That really sucks, the family vacation that you had planned, they expect you to cancell because they choose not to staff the airline properly. That’s fair!
That is why I feel very strongly about making your own way and having a business of your own, so you can be in complete control of your life. Sure there will be ups and downs just like with anything else, but you will be driving the ship not someone else that has no interest in your life what so ever. You can start today and build it little by little, then when you are ready and if you wish you can make that transition to being your own boss. I cannot wait!

Statistically speaking, the odds are stacked against you. Take any group of 100 people, and by age 65 only ONE of that group will retire wealthy, and only FOUR of that same group will be able to meet their daily needs without some help from the government or someone else.
Not very encouraging is it? Particularly if you are already in your forties or older. I am not sure what it will take to wake you up, but all you need to do is just look around. There is not much encouraging at all, no job is safe and no one knows what is coming next with our current administration.
Most of us have insurance just in case something happens, it is wise to do, so why not have insurance when it comes to your financial well being? It is easier now more than ever to start a side business and more necessary now than ever!
You may be safe today, but when you reach 65 which person are you most likely to be? You must take action today to be able to provide a better future for yourself and your family or you could just keep playing the lottery I guess. I like my odds better!

I know that I may have shared this with you before, but I think it bears repeating! For those that crave success in your life you must:
1. Stop working for someone else. No one EVER became rich working for someone else. You need to get something going where YOU get the money, not someone else.
2. Do something different. Remember the definition of insanity, “Keep doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.” If you want different results than what you’re getting now, you must DO something different.
3. You gotta’ have leverage. You absolutely MUST find something that allows you to “leverage” someone else’s time or money. That’s what all the rich people do. They get paid when other people do things – you can, too.
4. Surround yourself with like-minded people. Your results will come faster and be exponentially greater than if you try to do this on your own without the support of a Mastermind Group. You need to hang out with people who can help you achieve your goals, and who will elevate you. They’ll help you become all that you CAN become. He says that he cannot emphasize this point enough. It’s that important.
5. Take action. This is “The Biggie.” When you find something worth pursuing, DO something about it. Don’t sit on the sidelines thinking and evaluating. ACT!
You see, we have all been “conditioned” to think that the only way to acquire money is to show up to work every day, or to start a business (with that big capital requirement and the risks that go along with it.) But that just isn’t the case.
